I'm co-founder of HiveSight (www.hivesight.com), a startup that provides consumer market research online.I'm also a Ruby enthusiast, so a lot of what we do in HiveSight is built with Ruby. A lot is also built with Java - when it's speed you need, Ruby isn't the way to go. The combination has worked great for us so far.
