I can't express just how profoundly culturally biased this is. There is absolutely nothing about Fahrenheit that 'just makes sense' to someone who grew up with Celsius instead.

Your comment about granularity is also nonsensical. I can adjust my heating by more granularity than 1C. That has literally nothing to do with the units being used.

As someone who has used Celsius all my life, I actually kinda think they have a point here - where I live temperatures range from -10 to 39 in Celsius, and our home thermostats have 0.5 degree increments. Had we used Fahrenheit it would be a more human-friendly and compact-display-friendly 11-99 with little need for the fractional part.
