Sorry, when protesters shout "Free Palestine", "Long Live October the 7th", "From The River To The Sea..." (I'm not even going to repeat that in full here), I can't put it other than there's a bunch of neonazis trying to be on the wrong side of history (again).
There is absolutely nothing wrong with any of those statements. Israel is an illegitimate state, worse than Nazi Germany. It should not exist and Palestinians have every right to self defense. None of that is relevant to the UK though, they're clearly occupied by the zionists since they've made it illegal to stand against a foreign terrorist colony.
Also, most people on this planet are anti-Zionist. The "wrong side of history" will clearly be Zionism, as dictated by all of us.
You're taking the liberty of free speech and abuse it for hate speech. Although I do appreciate your honesty, you're probably breaking the law in multiple countries and I've already notified authorities.
Hate speech can be dangerous. WWII oughta have tought people a lesson but I'm afraid not enough people attended history classes.
I live in the US and thankfully we still have free speech. Apparently Zionists didn't learn from WWII because they're recreating the holocaust against Palestinians. Only this time they also have captured most western governments. Scary times but the momentum is against Zionism as their supporters age out.
There are 8.3 billion people on the planet. I'd bet that a majority have no definition of Zionism at all.
Just because college students & college professors drunk on Theory think a certain way this does not at all map on to way the other 8.299 billion of us think.
No, most of the people on this planet do not support Israel or think it has a right to exist. It takes a special kind of propagandizing to think that. Once the boomers are gone, so will be all support for Zionism. Here's a recent poll:
Also, your HN bio says “Please don't use Hacker News for political or ideological battle. It tramples curiosity.”, and yet here you are defending Zionism.
It's your quote. I have no problem with people speaking politics on HN. There's already an extremely overt political bias in the capital class that funds our industry, so we should have very open discussions about it. It's one of the most relevant topics in tech.
I’m tired of banging my head against a wall; it seems that no matter how hard I try to explain the illegitimacy of the "isn't real" state, people just engage in mental gymnastics to find justifications that fit their confirmation bias.
I feel like I’m losing my mind more and more for defending a basic shred of humanity: that Palestine has the right to exist and that territory belongs to them.
Yet, due to external factors, a large portion of the population in my country insists on defending genocide while feigning a virtue that never existed—all while putting on airs of erudition. As if I were the stupid one for simply being human.
Thank you for saying this. Many of us feel this way in the tech industry. That our C-level execs and VC industry are hyper Zionist is one of the defining problems of our times. Their control over old media, internet media and AI is terrifying. Thankfully there are a lot more of us than there are of them.
