I guess this what the singularity looks like, suddenly one day it happens, and you have to actualy find a translation program and manualy cut and paste your text into it, because of the algorithmic morality of more generalised software. Whats next?, having your door dash order for steak and icecream, editied and changed for vegan sausage and a gym membership card? Just yesterday I was confronted for having a khfia and roses on the dash of my car, and told that that was not welcome and should be removed, to which I replied that they would have to fight me first, and got my hand shook instead, followed by wide ranging discussions, some including points of view from a very different perspective than mine, but were open and civilised, and that is what changes situations from bieng binary either or, to ones that prove that there is more shared interest and value in mutualy benificial projects, than in outright sanctions and demands for submission.

To your point, no one is forcing DHH to use Anthropic’s AI to translate his stupid screed. There are a plethora of viable alternatives, including asking a human translator (who, depending on their own personal politics, may also deny the request to translate a racist editorial).
You would have a very different opinion if Claude were to refuse translating a far-left text.
Why do you assume to know what I would think? Do you have any actual point to make or are you just trolling?

Actually, I don’t care what a poster from LessWrong thinks.

So you would find it okay if Claude refused translating a text arguing for open borders or defunding the police.
You apparently missed the last part of my reply
No, I don't care what you care about either. I just clarified that your objection to metalman was stupid.
