To your point, no one is forcing DHH to use Anthropic’s AI to translate his stupid screed. There are a plethora of viable alternatives, including asking a human translator (who, depending on their own personal politics, may also deny the request to translate a racist editorial).

And no, if Claude refused to translate a half-baked illogical rant about open borders or defunding police or whatever left-leaning bogeyman you feckless chumps like to cook up to make yourselves feel like you are not totally fucked in your worldview, I would simply look elsewhere for that service. As I originally pointed out, no one is forcing DHH to use a specific LLM, or LLMs as translation technology, or any technology at all.
