As a heavy reddit user since the glorious Digg times... what's up with this "old reddit" thing?

I vaguely remember some problems with new reddit initially. But the "new" frontend looks nice to me in all aspects. What am I missing?

Absurdly, it is much faster to browse between pages using old reddit.

Seriously, try it out. I wonder if the person who created a ticket for implementing the progress bar ever wondered if it was symptom of a greater problem?

You can also actually see a big discussion without lots and lots of clicking until clicking too deeply makes you lose all your progress and start over.

for starters when I browse reddit in new interface after short scrolling it tells me to install app and I can';t read further comments, no such issue with old.reddit

though I have also Continuum client with my own API key in phone, but for some google results it's just faster to read it in browser than opening the app

The new frontend still doesn't have a proper zoom implementation so I can't use it

The UX is horrendous, density of information is a fraction of what it was and the infinite scroll sucks
