AWS now has unmetered egress, but it's pretty expensive. A 10G port is $8k a month.

Here: https://aws.amazon.com/interconnect/multicloud/ - it's rolling out in us-east-1, and will come to other regions.

Free for 500Mbps huh? But it only connects to certain other clouds, not the internet.

I believe so? It connects to Internet, as long as you have a physical presence in a datacenter that is connected to one of their partners.

So you connect AWS to Oracle and connect Oracle to some colo and have a server at that colo and get internet access there and then you're done?

Probably still cheaper than AWS egress

No, they support direct interconnect: https://aws.amazon.com/interconnect/lastmile/

So you just need to be present in one of their DCs.
