These releases are nothing new - this is why it’s so frustrating. Trump just takes credit for everything.

CIA releases from 2016: https://www.cia.gov/stories/story/take-a-peek-into-our-x-fil...

NARA files related to ufos: https://www.archives.gov/research/topics/uaps

UFO info from the UK: https://www.nationalarchives.gov.uk/help-with-your-research/... (also see https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_UFO_Files and https://www.gov.uk/government/publications/ufo-reports-in-th...)

I can go on… if you care about ufos then believe me there’s way more info out there than this crappy release!! Again, there is no reason to publicize this except to draw attention away from … unpopular wars, economic trouble, high energy prices, you name it.

Correct.

But I disagree on one point: the publicity does help normalize discussion around UAPs. That’s arguably the main value of these releases. They simply get more people openly talking about the subject, and it moves the subject forward.

Whether it also conveniently serves other political purposes is beside the point as far as advancing UAP discourse is concerned.
