Nobody "ever" does them, not because they are too hard, but rather because decades of fitness research tells us they are a poor fit in most routines. On the low end, there is a decent risk of injury (especially knee) without careful attention to form. For anyone working out regularly, a split routine is preferable. Burpees just dont work in any day of a split very well - and they really don't superset well for the same reasons. |

"Working out" can mean many things. If you are already decently fit, and your goal is to build muscle, then burpees won't help. To build muscle, you need to lift weights. But if your goal is to improve endurance, then burpees are fantastic.
Also, of all of the movements and activities I do, burpess are on the very low end of liklihood to cause injury.
