In fact you can recycle a bowling balls , and related kit . call your local alley and ask if they have kids leagues. a lot of time they are happy to take some used kit for new members . this is how my kids got their first bowling balls and bowling shoes . i had to pay for the ball to be filled and redrilled for their hands and i got a new bag. all in 50-75 bucks total. then after 2 year they stopped bowling on the league and i gave the balls and shoes back as a donation.

That's reusing, not recycling. Reusing is also better than recycling in every way.

At the risk of sharing what I think to be common knowledge, it's Reduce, Reuse and then Recycle. The order matters and reflects decreasing impact on the overall problem. Recycle is supposed to be the last option. Unfortunately the Reduce and Reuse get little to no emphasis within a capitalist consumption driven society.

You are arguing against no one. The person you initially replied to explaining RRR obviously isn't talking about RRRing bowling balls specifically. They are explaining the significance of and how to interpret the common way it's taught to reduce unnecessary production and consumption.
