Ask HN: Robotics Platform Like HuggingFace

Hi, I played with the thought of making a platform like huggingface but for robots. I’m thinking about a place where you can not only host code but also urdf and environments and so on. What are your thoughts on that?

Hii, we are working on a collaborative platform to host different robotic projects incl. models. The frontend which uses 3js to render 3D object can connect to different backend solutions running in different stacks (Mujuco, ROS, gazebo, isaac sim...). I think theconstruct has something called the rosject which is similar to what you are describing here, but AFAIK it never gain any traction apart from usage in their own online courses. I do think a platform that hosts robotics datasets would nice though.

Thanks, I checked their website, but couldn’t find anything similar to my thoughts. I think of something more of a directory with backlinks to code and in the future a web interface/tools that connect to your local gazebo, omniverse or whatever
