I would love to see CEOs work my teenage summer job in my dad's rigging business. In the hot summer, I would load and unload oil and dirt-covered blocking, chains, and jacks and move molding machines in 90F factories with steel rollers and a forklift. You need to stay alert to keep your toes and fingers.
I grew up with adults missing body parts from industrial accidents through "hard work."
When a CEO loses a hand or an eye because of a bad deal, I'll consider they might know what hard work is.
I imagine it's pretty difficult for a teen to find time to spend on their phones when they're spending all of their time raising children of their own and working jobs that don't pay a living wage.
Yea no. They are using 12 year olds in incredibly dangerous manufacturing sectors.
Since they don't want to pay higher wages in a competitive labor market, they instead start illegally using under-age labor, and throwing lobbying money at lawmakers so they can move on to legally hire underage kids.
They don't get to go to school. They get to work 9 hour shifts instead.
We all know why these laws need to exist, and attempting to role them back is the result of pure greed.
