How to Get into Stanford?
1 points by casho 929 days ago
Hello! I'm a 16-year-old junior who will be graduating early from my senior year. I have a strong interest in working in startups, and I believe that Stanford University would be an ideal college for that path. Currently, I have a GPA of 4.0 and an ACT score of 33. However, I must confess that I haven't taken any AP classes... Oops! For those of you who attended Stanford, do you have any tips or advice to share? Thanks!

Stanford is very into diversity these days. Try emphasizing how not taking AP classes allowed you the time and energy to do what the other candidates did not do, and that this makes you unique. Point out that your differences means you are especially well suited to enrich the pool of ideas and experiences at Stanford that makes Stanford itself unique. Just don't over do it. Stanford will not be impressed if you do. Strive for a balance.
That’s genius!
Make sure you apply to other schools too. You'll have options. I thought I would get into Stanford and did not.
Where else should I apply?
there is a movie starring Jack Black on this subject, I believe
Orange County lol. Love that movie!
