Search with no results, login? And explore with four links.. all designed poorly. Not going to cut it.

The search currently only searches through the "rings" (communities).

What's designed poorly? Can you extend your feedback a bit please?

Yes, and sorry if it’s harsh. It just appears to be a generic blogging clone.

The page I land on needs to make it immediately clear why the site is useful. No explanations or hand waving.

No worries. Harsh feedback is the best feedback because it's the most genuine.

I think one of the issues with the search bar, when I posted the link here, was that it was assuming the user inserted some text in lowercase - which is of course a wrong assumption.

On top of that, the search bar currently only searches through the rings [1] which is a very limited list. Of course the search bar will improve over time, but there isn't much to search now :)
