We have been working in SaaS from the past few years and we had been in the stage where it is very difficult to reach out to any user and get feedback from them on our product ideas or features. So, I had built a network where you can choose your interviewees (with specific job titles or have used a particular competitor product) to get feedback or competitive analysis. I wasn't aware that was a normal stage of development - we've always had the opposite problem, of people bombarding so much feedback that we had to spend a ton of time sorting it out to truly derive the best direction.

What were the reasons behind it being difficult to get feedback?

Interesting. Thanks for your reply. How did you get these many users in the start? I was thinking more about user interviews for product direction feedback, Experience testing or competitive analysis.
