Not sure why this is news? Ukraine reported this first month of war with Russia, that Russians getting coordinates of Ukrainian DJI drone pilots using this method.
Russians were using DJI's own Aeroscope device to identify DJI drone and pilot locations within 30 miles. In response, DJI claimed DroneID was encrypted and inaccessible to those without the "carefully controlled Aeroscope devices."
