So you're just going to ignore the massive trail of breadcrumbs because someone references a bible passage?

Yup

If it's important it will appear somewhere with a more sober and grounded analysis. Conspiracy theorists are suffering from pathological levels of FOMO.

I don't know if you realize what that channel is. It's not a religious channel at all, nor a conspiracy theory channel. For years, "CoinBureau" has published some of the most wide-ranging and grounded analysis on everything around the crypto space, from regulations (FATCA, the CFTC-SEC spat, etc.) to each technology (Polkadot, Cosmos, Solana, etc.) and how they work. It doesn't really shill anything, either. However, one recurring theme is how "they" (the globalists / UN / FATCA / WEF / China etc.) are building out their centralized tool, and what it means for crypto. So it tackles these "big" themes.

I'm surprised so many people Hacker News are uninterested in real decentralization and giving power to the people. After all, one would think that "hacker culture" would be very much against Big Corporations and governments controlling everything. It used to be a counterculture, with cypherpunks, phreaking, and DIY ham radio operators, etc. Today, it seems many of the people were gobbled up by the system and actively support centralized Big Tech solutions. Anything that smells of decentralization is downvoted and even flagged by a sizable number of people on Hacker News. It's ironic in a way, but there it is.

> nor a conspiracy theory channel.

Hmm, from your video:

> this begs the question of how the UN will force the average person to adopt an actual digital ID after their respective governments finish rolling them out in 2025. by now you'll know that the only way is to create a crisis which requires the use of digital ID

> which therefore begs the question of what's coming. my bets are on the upcoming energy crisis the upcoming food crisis and the upcoming financial crisis.

then he sarcastically backpedals.

> if my tin foil hat is receiving the correct signals so to speak a financial crisis won't come until the second half of the decade when most central banks feel comfortable with their cbdcs this doesn't mean we couldn't see some economic crash between now and then but I reckon there's room for one more multi-year zero interest rate

Well, that's called editorializing. Many mainstream channels do it. Do you flag those, too?

Usually, a video that has LITERAL LINKS to the very things they're digesting for you (hosted by the UN, US Congress, and WEF, etc.) all gathered in one place, you'd think that was useful enough to discuss on Hacker News, no?

t used to be a counterculture, with cypherpunks, phreaking, and DIY ham radio operators, etc. Today, it seems many of the people were gobbled up by the system and actively support centralized Big Tech solutions.

Still is. Thing is, just because something is decentralized or against the incumbent system doesn't mean it's good. There are lots of grifters and opportunists across the socio-political spectrum that seek to exploit idealism and frustration for selfish ends, funneling people towards cults, scams etc. etc.. If it's wrapped in the language of religiosity or ideology it's generally a hard pass from me.

Also, video in general is a very inefficient way to communicate information.

A bible quote does not change that.
