In the US, "spook" can be a derogatory word for black people. It came about in the 1940's and while not extremely common today, this context is familiar enough that I'd second the suggestion to rethink the name/brand.
I think the common usage is government agents, but more generally it is/was used to refer to things that instill fear or disgust. e.g. ghosts, the feds, and for racists, certain races. I would probably consider a branding update because the historical racial usage is probably enough to dwarf any positive discussion of the platform.
How long should we wait before recycling a term/phrase? There are many words people have never heard today that were common even in the 80s. Which is far more recent than the 40s.

(note, I've _never_ heard spook used for anything other than a spy, and I am old guy)
