The U.S. is definitely NOT pushing for war. No one wants war with Putin's Russia. But Putin's Russia is a bad actor on the world stage and have attacked the U.S. repeatedly. So we are being proactive now.

The whole "war is coming" is pushed by the US for some reason and the public buys it.
As you can see it even allows the US to claim "victory" when Russia stays put.
Of course they are trying to do something (and so are the US). But what is it? Are they planning military action or doing a show of strength to send a message?
I think propaganda and disinformation runs high on both sides at the moment so that it's not straightforward to get an idea of what is really going on.
It's best to be critical of what we're told either way... This includes wondering what it's in it for the US. I doubt it is Ukraine per se, and even if it is we can also wonder what the US are doing there so there is definitely more than meets the eye.
