My favorite was Posthogs, it was an all-day onsite where they stuck me in a slack chat, had me code a full-stack python app, and then paid me $900 for it. Awesome.
Yeah, but they dock your pay 30-35% for living outside a few select tech hubs. While I understand how such a thing made sense in the past, and could even understand a small difference, I think we're past the point where a 35% difference is fair.
