Taiwan claims that it is China. So its territorial claims encompass all of existing mainland China and actually bits of India and other countries as well. They claim the CCP has been too soft on maintaining Chinese territorial sovereignty. So ironically the Government in Taiwan is actually more expansionist than the Government on the mainland.

Survey shows only 5% of people in Taiwan think they are Chinese and not Taiwanese. What you are referring to is the de jure side of things. Taiwan is a de facto sovereignty and doesn't not have border dispute with India or building islands in SCS.
