Places like Patreon, OnlyFans, Fansly etc are on the right track. There's other platforms like Steem, Minds and Brave (the browser) allowing direct payment to creators through crypto.

Thanks for your feedback. I guess I should clarify Patreon, OnlyFans and possibly even Gumroad were built with creators in mind. But, the platforms I listed are just now realizing the “value” of creators. It would be difficult to pick just one. For the most part, creators need a presence on multiple platforms, which depends on the content they make, and only a few will ever be able to make a living or fortune from their content.
You’re absolutely right it really does depend on the content they create. I plan to start meeting with creators in the product review space to speak with them about what model would better support the work they do and value they bring.
