Doesn't matter where the most or least happened. Plenty of it happened on Parler, we know about it thanks to the leaks, and they had been warned for months before the riots even happened. Fault does not require a shareholder majority.
"Doesn't matter where the most or least happened. Plenty of it happened on Parler" ... "Fault does not require a shareholder majority"
You state that "Plenty" occurred on Parlor but then state the Fault does not require a shareholder majority. Which seems like a logical contradiction.
If let's say Twitter created the critical mass which allowed for a breach is Twitter no less liable?
Or if Twitter provided realtime coordination is it no less liable?
Why is it no one wants to even approach placing blame on Twitter. This simply escapes me. It is obvious Twitter was used. It has been reported to Congress by the FBI yet somehow Twitter just gets a pass.
Just for the record, I am not a big fan of either platform. But I feel like we have made Parlor some sort of scape goat so we don't have to call out Jack and friends for their negligence as well.
"Plenty" does not mean "the majority of". Don't twist my words. We have ample evidence of what was said and planned on Parler. And like I said, they were warned _for months_ by their providers to clean up their content and improve moderation, and they didn't.
Saying that Parler should clean up their act does not mean I'm absolving Twitter of any and all blame, either. You're forcing a false dichotomy.
We didn't make Parler a scapegoat, we held Parler accountable for their role and responsibility in an attack on our Capitol and one of our most fundamental democratic processes. Twitter is no different, I'm not holding them to any different standard here.
I hold Twitter responsible for any and all failures to moderate after reporting - including its recent issues with CP being spread after reporting. I would argue the difference is that at least Twitter tried, and was trying before Jan 6th. Parler literally never even tried. In fact they proudly said they weren’t ever going to try.
To be clear: i think Facebook has blood on their hands too. I’m not targeting Parler unfairly.
