This seems like a bait and switch or false advertising. Entice you with one price or agreement and then substantially raise the price at the last minute to try to force you into a new deal.

Document everything you can. Contact the attorney general for your state - they handle consumer complaints about these business practices. You can also file with the Better Business Bureau.

Why is this being downvoted?

Don't bother with the BBB. They are old school Yelp, and have no teeth. The Attorney General advice is spot on, as is a 1 hour consultation with a contract attorney to see if OP can force Tesla to perform for the agreed upon price.

This sort of behavior is SOP for Tesla.

I've actually seen the BBB get involved and help resolve issues. The two situations I was involved with related to smaller to medium companies. It mostly seemed like they didn't realize what they were doing wasn't legal or ethical and just needed the someone official to tell them that. I don't know if it will help in this case since Tesla is huge and has an army of lawyers. At least it will affect their rating and maybe warn others.

I've had a third situation that did require the AG since the BBB got nowhere. That was a larger company too.
