Will this really be able to replace wageworkers, or will this just be a passing fad? The price tag and servicing fees may make this inefficient for some joints. Although with some states fighting for higher minimum wages, we might have a case of McDonald's tap-to-order stations again

If the robot can replace two shifts (80 hrs/wk) of workers at $10/hr then the robot pays for itself after nine months. Of course, there's more to breaking even than just the up-front unit cost and the replaced wages, but I can't imagine this robot costing more than a year of wages for one minimum-wage body at a restaurant with long hours.
