If the robot can replace two shifts (80 hrs/wk) of workers at $10/hr then the robot pays for itself after nine months. Of course, there's more to breaking even than just the up-front unit cost and the replaced wages, but I can't imagine this robot costing more than a year of wages for one minimum-wage body at a restaurant with long hours. |
