Imagine if someone were to place a 1000% loan because they knew the people taking them were desperate enough for their next meal that they would take that that. These laws exist for a reason. If we instead simply ban 1000% interest, it doesn't mean those people suddenly have better options than they did before... if means they are forced to pick an even WORSE option.
