Do you do any analog photography? That's how I got into the hobby and I love it, and a lot of my friends who used to shoot on DSLRs got tired of them and switched to analog for the quirks and simplicity. Also, check out the book Salt, Fat, Acid, Heat if you haven't already. It's not a cookbook per se, more of a technique and cooking theory book, but it really changed the way I approach cooking most dishes. |

Thanks for the book recommendation. I've heard of that one before. I have a giant molecular gastronomy cookbook that's also fascinating, but I'm finding these days my culinary adventures are more geared towards finding solutions to cook good food in bulk with easy cleanup and reheating.
