So they'll drop it on the driver?! The whole setup was an accidental waiting to happen. Uber executives should be held responsible or this will happen again and again.
Right, Uber's position will be / is, simultaneously, one - "it's not our fault, that's why we had the human driver there", and two - "in order to cut costs, we used to have a human passenger there to record anomalies while driving - we axed that and require the human 'driver' to do so, whilst being responsible for the safety of the vehicle".
