Hey folks, founder of RowStack here. We'd love your feedback on our product. We've been working hard on it for a couple months. It's got a few rough edges but we think it's usable and have been using it ourselves. Would you use this for your team? Why? Why not? Thanks!

As a program manager, I have many spreadsheets so this is very interesting to me! :) I would like to see more upfront description of about RowStack's uses and workflow. Just replacing the animated screenshot with a slideshow (with short slide descriptions) that I can step through at my own pace would help.

Are there any plans for integrations with other services? For example, tools like Trello or Waffle.io can read and edit GitHub issues.

Does RowStack have a blog or Twitter account I can follow to watch for updates?

Glad to hear it might be useful to you, that's our goal! I like the slideshow idea, we'll get that up soon.

Currently you can pull board in from Trello, and we plan to allow you to push data back out. I'm not familiar with Waffle.io, but I'll check it out today. We also currently have slack integration, where you can set triggers when rows change status, and create and read rows from Slack. We're planning to build any other integrations that our users will find useful.

You can follow us on twitter at https://twitter.com/rowstack_com

Have you tried Smartsheet? They are competing in the same space, but their product is more like Microsoft Project (for those that like Gantt charts :) than a Kanban workflow.

I had looked at it briefly before and took another look at it today. Definitely some of the same angles we are hitting. But I'd say, yes they are more on the Microsoft Project end of the spectrum and we are trying to be more on the Trello / Basecamp end. Have you tried Smartsheet? They say they have a 1 million users but I've never seen / heard of anyone using it.
I have used Smartsheet, but the GUI is very "fiddly", due to its heavyweight Microsoft Project world view and lots of controls that it very easy to screw up milestone dates and dependencies. I reverted to Google Spreadsheets after a week. I read an article somewhere about some Google project managers liking Smartsheet so much that they petitioned to use it to track their projects instead of Google Spreadsheets. :)
Might be under HN load right now, but the "Try It Now" seems to have crashed and burned. Initially I had a page with three rows of data, clicked the "Edit..." option on the drop down list of "Open", "Closed" etc then it got stuck there. I couldn't go back and none of the buttons (Rows, Stack etc) did anything.

Closing my browser and trying again presents me with a page now with no rows of test data but I can't perform any actions.

Looks nice though :)

Looking into it now, thanks for letting us know.
Looks cool!

Having a list of integrations somewhere on the marketing site would be huge.

Any plans to integrate with github and/or gitlab issues?

Would you be interested in actually using it and being one of our beta testers? What we need most right now is a small group of people to get feedback from so we can improve the product. We'd be shaping the product from your suggestions and pain points. Thanks!
We use Github so we definitely want to integrate with that. We've found, though, that building the perfect integration takes a lot of feedback from users. As soon as we start getting feedback (right now!) we'll start building.
