Have you tried Smartsheet? They are competing in the same space, but their product is more like Microsoft Project (for those that like Gantt charts :) than a Kanban workflow.
I had looked at it briefly before and took another look at it today. Definitely some of the same angles we are hitting. But I'd say, yes they are more on the Microsoft Project end of the spectrum and we are trying to be more on the Trello / Basecamp end.
Have you tried Smartsheet? They say they have a 1 million users but I've never seen / heard of anyone using it.
I have used Smartsheet, but the GUI is very "fiddly", due to its heavyweight Microsoft Project world view and lots of controls that it very easy to screw up milestone dates and dependencies. I reverted to Google Spreadsheets after a week. I read an article somewhere about some Google project managers liking Smartsheet so much that they petitioned to use it to track their projects instead of Google Spreadsheets. :)
