It's a useful idea, but it would only be useful for those programmers who are saddled with using Excel as their delivery mechanism ... which is a tiny minority of the people writing complex VBA, macros or formulas, or using Excel add-ins they customize. Those people are usually business users and are not interested or not willing to act like real programmers. Imho / ymmv, of course, but I am coming from 15 years of enterprise experience where a lot of my team's dev work seems to have been replicating Excel spreadsheets as web apps. :-/ |
