Duplicate content is de-duplicated to an extent. Oftentimes, if I forget where the HN story that corresponds to a page I'm reading, I resubmit it, and HN redirects me to the HN story. I believe this is time-boxed by a few weeks, which allows for things like "Something interest from the past (2008)" to get posted again. |
