Fine, but why isn't the argument: "This then needs to be standardised in a Java.* package and correctly documented." Unsafe is useful, and is evident by how popular it is. Heck even Sun/Oracle must agree because they created it for their own internal usage. So why not just go ahead and standardise it. |
