Technically, because of how hidden services work in the tor architecture (both the service AND the user are hidden from each other) there's no "exit ip" when connecting to a hidden service, it just happens somewhere in the intermediary hops. (with the hidden service pretending that its just getting a response from somewhere up the chain) so what the author of this article was actually doing was just leaking his own IP. lol |
