The one interesting example when I think about domains is Nissan.com. Nissan (the auto manufacturer) was unable to secure nissan.com, but it really hasn't hurt them in terms of searches. Of course, if people go to Nissan.com directly, that doesn't work for them, but it is interesting nonetheless. Having said that, I do personally find a domain first before any type of branding or naming. |
