Definite up votes. Or you have an MBA from Harvard that VCs love. Or a successful exit under your belt. You have to bring to the table real assets and accomplishments. Personality is not a plus at first and will only play out over time. Same thing with brains/creativity. These are not easily measurable. That being said, if you are unproven, you could relax your standards and try to convince a kid out of university to be your CTO. |
