"Many brilliant people can seem delightful in a one-hour conversation, but their eccentricities become grating after a couple hours." That is so true. Most people can't keep up their "interview face" for very long. It's tiring. At some point, if you put them at ease, they will revert to their normal self. That is when you'll get to see what they're really like. I've seen some pretty amazing transformations when waiting for this second phase of the interview. |
