Take a look at http://www.contrib.andrew.cmu.edu/~somlo/OSXKVM/

I haven't tried it myself, but those instructions should help with running Yosemite on QEMU/KVM

Ah thanks for the reminder. I had looked at that page previously when it just covered 10.9. I see that it has been updated with instructions for 10.10. Wonderful.
