I can see meetings and presentations using this very well. You can broadcast a link locally with a push of a button -- no need to know anyone's email or screen name. Listener don't even need to know the URL itself. This makes UX near seamless! Imagine giving a presentation in a public conference, you can provide resource (per x slide) to all of your listeners(strangers and what not) for referencing without ever saying anything about it. |

That being said, having a way to do this on the fly could be pretty convenient now that I think about it more.
