The container deposit laws pervert the recycling process by taking the only things worth recycling (aluminum cans) out of the single recycle stream. I have to pay extra for recycling in my town. However, if there wasn't a bottle bill, it would likely be free, as the recycling companies would gladly take all recyclables in exchange for the aluminum cans. |
