government has a majority in the French assembly. The result would have been the same with more deputies: law would have passed.
Each deputy seems specialized in a few fields and does not attend discussions to have time to work on other things (mayor, meetings,...)
So, not sure if quorum > 50% would be useful. |

But laws are not really discussed in the main chamber. The way it works is that laws are really discussed, debated and modified in commissions, and the main vote is only for the TV, and for MPs to demonstrate publicly their opposition.
