Don't forget the wonderful "pourriel" mixing "poubelle" (trash can) and e-mail to designate spam, If only it would have crossed the ocean.

I always thought pourriel was from "pourri" (rotten/lousy) + "courriel".

Both convey a correct meaning for spam!
