Best practices for Slack
2 points by mistermoon 4113 days ago
Our team (8 people spread across 3 countries) loves Asana - it works great for us for prioritizing and communicating on tasks.

We recently added Slack for team communication. It has been very useful for internal communications but to be honest, it is still kind of a glorified / searchable / organized instant messenger for us. I still prefer to have all of our files saved in folders on our shared G-Drive for searching (otherwise we start having to search Slack, e-mail, AND G-Drive for files). And while it has cut down on e-mails, it has by no means "killed" e-mail.

I feel like I am missing the value of Slack - can somebody enlighten me?
