Can confirm. Running Gitlab on the $5 (or even $10) Digital Ocean VM is not gonna give you optimal experience unless you are a single user with a tiny repository and dedicate the entire VM to Gitlab (even after that, it is pretty slow on the $5 instance). Haven't tried Gogs yet but sounds like it would be faster. |
