As the author of the articles. I'd just like to say that walking out and finding another job is not as easy as you might think in Ottawa at my age. And also if I leave, the system just continues. I'd leave my successor in the lurch. And I'm not prepared to do that.

Sometimes you have to go public and take a risk, and do the right thing. Not the easy thing.
