Is this the beginning of an endless stream of products that basically integrate a simple multi-sensor chip and claim to revolutionalize our lives by notifying us that we need to wear coats outside? I don't want to sound too negative, but I sincerely get the feeling that a new hype wave of IoT sensor products with practically no added value (other than cheerful marketing videos) is now on the way. I also think that there is an endless amount of truly innovative but yet undiscovered use cases for these sensors. |

the primary issue that I see is not getting data - but using it for something redundant.. there is no "innovation" as such. IoT should target much larger issues than doing something which adds a whole lot of additional headache. There are stuff such as Estimotes as well - mostly used for marketing strategies than anything else :-/
