Teleborder is a complete global mobility solution for business. Our mission is to bring free movement of labor to the world through technology. Right now, that means helping companies manage immigration/visas, tax, and relocation for their expatriate employees in the U.S. For example, if a Japanese engineer wants to join a company in San Francisco, they can use us to make sure the visa, moving, and tax processes all get done properly. Big companies like Google already to this for their employees, but small companies haven’t been able to afford this until now. One day, we hope to enable this for every person, company, and country in the world. We grew our customer base 12x in 2014 and are looking to beat that in 2015.

We're currently a tight-knit team of 14 and well funded by top tier investors, including YC (S13) and Khosla Ventures. We don’t yet have designer on our team, and are looking for someone to lead and own design across all our customer interactions, including our app and our sales & marketing website. The ideal person would be comfortable both creating/mocking up designs and implementing them in HTML and CSS - we’re really looking for someone who wants to own our “CSS layer”. Our stack is a Rails/PostgreSQL backend with an Ember.js front-end. We’re also looking for someone who aspires to lead a team of designers one day - we’re growing fast, and anticipate growing our product and engineering teams substantially over the next 12-18 months.

All of our team all have a personal connection or affinity with expatriate employment. Our CEO is a lifelong expat and has spent 23 years on a visa, including right now. For that reason, we’re happy to sponsor visas and green cards for all employees, as well as assisting with relocation and tax issues for people moving to San Francisco.
