Yeah. The irony I see in all of this is that the government did this to themselves. Government overcollection of information led to public need for encryption, which in turn led to the fact that the government can't collect information when it does have a legal mandate to do it. The best answer here is: the government should obey the laws and not spy on citizens, and maybe then the citizens won't seek refuge. |
