This aggregation/collaboration of weak agents... isn't it boosting? It's certainly a recommended approach to building robust systems, see Pedro Domingos' paper (tip number 10): http://homes.cs.washington.edu/~pedrod/papers/cacm12.pdf But I had the impression that the letter had a more transcendental feel than just focusing on a particular tuning technique. |
